Special Extras

Beyond health and personal care services, Grace Hospice provides choices in special services to improve well-being and quality of life.

Music Therapy

Music creates peace at the moment, but more importantly, it creates precious memories.

Music therapy creates a safe space and calming background. Families can relax in quiet presence with their loved ones and not feel the need to constantly talk or do something. Music also has a positive effect on heart rate, blood pressure, cognitive ability, and helps release the body's natural painkilling abilities.

Music creates a safe space.

Massage Therapy

A gentle, intentional touch that replaces anxiety, pain, and fear with peace.

Massage for hospice patients is very different and intended to improve quality of life by decreasing physical and emotional distress. Massage nurtures with a gentle, caring touch, and restores emotional balance and comfort.

Patients can choose other comfort therapies, including:

  • Reflexology
  • Aromatherapy
  • Healing Touch

Legacy Letters

Grace Hospice has several staff members who are certified Legacy Navigators, specially-trained to write Legacy Letters for our patients. Patients can choose to have a Legacy Letter written to share their love, hopes, dreams, and blessings with family and friends, creating a cherished gift.

weaving care, peace, and grace

Sometimes words just fail. Music creates a space to 'be present' with a loved one, be able to express faith and feelings, without the need to talk. My gift of music can alleviate, enrich, and bring peace.
